National Online Support Groups

The internet offers wonderful ways to connect with other people’s stories, share ideas, ask questions and find support via online support communities. Online support communities have grown in recent years and we encourage you to consider becoming part of an online support community. The advantages of belonging to an online support community? You can post at any hour of the day or night. You learn about national and international information, events and therapies. You are sure to find someone whose situation or life experience speaks to you. If you’re not ready to join a face-to-face support group (and for many folks, it takes a while) or need to pose an anonymous question, it’s a good way to connect with others with PD and feel heard, ask questions and glean useful tips. Even better–why not meet local folks, in person, who can offer support in face-to-face groups! list is not all-inclusive. If you find a group you’d like us to list, please contact us.
