What We Do

Education & Awareness
Part of our mission is education and public awareness — to spread helpful information about Parkinson's disease. As part of our services, we connect you to informative websites, educational speakers, and other learning opportunities. We also participate in health fairs and collaborate with other agencies.

Exercise & Therapy Programs
Exercise, dance, music and art do make a difference! A number of studies show the benefits of a well-rounded exercise program, which includes stretching, strengthening and aerobics.
We provide information on local programs for a far-reaching range of activities like Rock Steady Boxing, yoga and chorus.

Support Programs
The care of the PD patient requires a range of support options. We provide information on a variety of support groups to help the PD patient, family, friends and caregivers connect with others. In addition, we realize that PD can lead to financial and legal strains. We provide information and links to programs which deal with these issues.

Other Resources
We provide information on local, northern Nevada: medical providers, home health and assistive living options on our Resource pages. In addition, we provide links to current research news, clinical trials, end of life decisions, and other information helpful to PD patients and caregivers.
