What We Do

Education
We provide accessible, expert-led education about Parkinson’s disease for individuals, families, and the broader community. Our hybrid Education Series features guest speakers sharing the latest in treatments and specialized care for those living with PD and their care partners. We also offer targeted training for home health agencies and healthcare providers to enhance PD-specific care. Additionally, we deliver awareness programs to workplaces, community groups, and faith-based organizations to foster understanding and support throughout Northern Nevada.

Support
We offer a variety of support services designed to meet individuals wherever they are in their Parkinson’s journey. Our PD Community Groups create safe spaces for people with Parkinson’s, care partners, and family members to connect, share, and support one another. Through our Mentor Program, trained volunteers with lived PD experience provide one-on-one guidance and encouragement to those newly diagnosed and their care partners. We also maintain an extensive website and offer phone support to help navigate local and regional resources with ease.

Resources
We connect individuals and families with a wide range of local, regional, and national resources, with a strong focus on services available here in Northern Nevada. Our resource offerings include information on PD-specialized healthcare providers, homecare management, financial and legal guidance, assistance programs, and opportunities to participate in research studies advancing Parkinson’s care.
