Funding Priorities

Thank you for your interest in the Parkinson Support Center of Northern Nevada!

Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for those living with Parkinson's disease, their families, and care partners in northern Nevada.

This is what you can make happen with a gift of $100 to $10,000:

  •  A Gift of $100 can fund printing materials to distribute to medical offices so that more people will learn about what PSCNN can offer

  • A Gift of $250 can fund an educational event with a local specialist

  • A Gift of $500 can fund 6 months of our Mentor Program, proving our Mentors with the training and support needed for a strong program

  • A Grant of $1,000 can fund one year of printing expenses and online visibility - providing information about Parkinson’s disease(PD), local resources and the PSCNN programs through brochures and flyers.

  •  A Grant of $2,500 can fund scholarships for Parkinson’s disease specific exercisprograms for 4 low-income members of our community.

  • A Grant of $5,000 can fund the coordination of 5 PD Community Groups in our area, to provide support, translational services, educational programming, and space rental.

  • A Grant of $10,000 will fund the coordination of our rural outreach program, by providing hybrid meeting technical equipment and travel expenses for our PD Community Groups and Mentor Programs.

  • AND YES - ANY LEVEL DONATION WILL HELP ASSURE THAT NO ONE HAS TO FACE PARKINSON'S DISEASE ALONE!

Our current funding priorities are:

  1. Developing strategies to reach our underserved populations of people with Parkinson’s disease – specifically the Hispanic, African American, Native American and veterans of northern Nevada.

  2. Expanding our reach to the rural population of people with Parkinson’s disease.

  3. Partnering with local fitness and exercise providers so that they can receive the specific training to work with people with Parkinson’s disease and so that we can help provide scholarships for the programs.
